1 quart strawberries
2 cups granulated sugar
Mix and bring to a boil for five minutes
Add 1 more cup of sugar
Boil for another few minutes, simmer longer to thicken a bit,
Skim off the foam.
Cover table tops with newspaper, lay large platters onto the newsprint
Pour the jam onto the platters, let sit in the open air to thicken, for two days.
Bottle, in sterilized bottles making sure that no bubbles remain at top , seal with was, screw tops on. Store in a cool place.
